The cookies SciVolume sets and why

SciVolume uses a small number of cookies and similar browser storage. All of them are needed to run the service; we do not set advertising or third-party analytics cookies.

We also use browser storage (localStorage) to keep an unsaved draft of the chapter you are editing so it can be recovered if your connection drops, and to remember interface preferences such as a collapsed panel. This data stays in your browser and is never sent to us.
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the sign-in cookie will prevent you from staying signed in. Because we set no optional cookies, there is no separate consent banner or opt-out.
If we add cookies for new purposes, we will update this page and, where required, ask for your consent first.
